Grady Pough, Sr.
A Legacy Built on Education
Born on July 16, 1920, in Waynesboro, Mississippi, Grady Pough, Sr. believed deeply in the power of knowledge and the importance of lifelong learning.
Despite receiving only a third-grade education, he understood that education could open doors and create opportunities for future generations. He remained committed to staying informed, reading the newspaper daily and encouraging those around him to seek wisdom and understanding.
Through his example, Grady instilled these values in his children, who have continued to pass down his passion for education to their own children and future generations.
Today, the Krewe of Grady Pough, Sr. proudly honors his memory by investing in deserving students through scholarships and community service, ensuring that his legacy of learning, family, and opportunity continues to inspire others.
